The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education are considering the possibility of postponing the autumn holidays for schoolchildren

Autumn holidays can start earlier

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education are considering postponing the autumn holidays for schoolchildren to an earlier date due to the organization of polling stations in schools.

This was announced by Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko during a round table discussion on local elections and Covid-19.

According to him, it is possible to postpone the holidays in order to dilute the educational process and prepare for the elections.

“Just yesterday, we held another conference with our teachers and received an offer. Until the children are moved on vacation, and such an issue is being considered, and we want to make the vacation 10 days earlier than planned, so that the educational process and preparation for the elections do not intersect, "Lyashko said.

He stressed that polling stations are already starting to work in schools, so it is important that commission members use a separate entrance to the school building.

“Even when we were preparing schools for the educational process, we said that during the educational process it is necessary to use as many entrances and exits to educational institutions as possible, in order to exclude contacts of children of different age groups, so that there is no crossing and overflow of infectious diseases in case one of the children is infected, from one class to another. Therefore, these issues are under control and I think they will be resolved, "said the chief sanitary doctor.
